ASSIST & ASIS
Serving Together To Improve the Security Profession

Dave Scepanski and Neal Mulchrone, ASIS International TX Vice President, met in El Paso at the ASIS Chapter on 20 February 2004 and agree it's time to change the Security Profession, to include working with homeland security at all levels of the state.

Dave Scepanski, ASSIST State President, and Cliff Grumbles, Director of the Texas Commission on Private Security (TCPS) were Guest Speakers at ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security), San Antonio, Texas on 3 February 2004 and spoke on "The Future of The Security Profession and the Security Officer in the State of Texas".

Dave, on behalf of ASSIST, presented Chairman Don Fry and ASIS with an award for working together to improve the security profession in the State of Texas.

I would like to have one of my Executive Board Members, who is also an ASIS Member, speak to the other ASIS Regions on the same topic this year. The purpose is that we have input from all of the Security Profession on what they would like to see improved in the Security Profession and also for the public.
