ASSIST Hosts Spanish
Speaking Information Session
With the coordination of ASSIST Vice-President Dave Parker and the Texas Private Security Bureau, Cliff Grumbles, Norma Rodriguez and Larry Shimek had a pilot meeting on Legal Information to Security Officers.
On Tuesday, April 13, 2004, an information meeting was held by ASSIST at the Tradition Hall in Houston. The purpose of the session was to provide legal information to security officers and company owners to avoid conflict with state and federal laws.
Attending the meeting to provide legal information was Cliff Grumbles, Norma Rodriguez and Larry Shimek of the Texas Private Security Bureau, a representative from the U.S. Attorney�s Office, Art Valdez with the Texas Alcohol & Beverage Commission, and representatives from both the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms and the Houston Police Department.
