Protecting the Super Rich a Whole Different Deal

MOST OF US PROTECT normal people and/or property. What about the super rich? Thats a whole different deal. The rich really are different than you and me especially with their security needs. We dont worry about someone hacking into our offshore bank account or breaking into our French vacation villa while we are working in our Dallas office or, worse, kidnapping our children and holding them for ransom. The super rich worry about these and many other things we dont contemplate in our lifetimes.

It starts with the individual but includes the family members as well. A plan must be designed to include protection against attacks against any of them anywhere they travel. It starts with where they are going to go. Your principle is going to a meeting tonight where he will be the featured speaker. Is this an opportunity for the bad guys to kidnap him? A top priority is an emergency evacuation plan. You have to know before hand how you will extract your principle from a threatening situation.

Facility design of all of their houses scattered throughout the world can be a challenge. You and I have a Colt 45 and a pit bull and that works real well for us, but they have much, much more. Closed circuit television systems, alarm systems and other smart devices show not only entry and exit but speed of entry and can track the intruder as they go room to room. And, the intruder will be met with surprises as he progresses.

To you and me, a safe room is a tornado shelter with water, food, extra batteries and some duct tape. To the super rich, its an extensive shelter which will support long term requirements. They have the money to build what you and I cannot envision. These safe rooms are built to escape not only individual intruders but mass casualty attacks as well.

So to protect the super rich, money is not an obstacle. The obstacle is to define the full range of probable threats, assess the probability of those threats and design a plan to meet that challenge.
