Security Officer Fidel Sanchez
Security Guard Fatally Shot at Construction Site
ON APRIL 20 AT APPROXIMATELY 0027 HOURS Security Officer Fidel Sanchez III of Professional Patrol and Guard responded to an alarm call at a construction site in Fresno, Texas. On arrival Sanchez made contact with a lone male subject. It is believed that this subject fired several shots striking Sanchez. Sanchez was on the phone with his dispatcher when he was shot.
Police believe three other persons were involved. All the subjects fled the site leaving behind the stolen vehicle they were driving and the materials they were attempting to steal. He was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he died. At this time warrants have been issued for three of the individuals based on fingerprints recovered at the scene.
Sanchez was laid to rest April 26. His funeral was attended by more than 100 of his family and friends. Security officers from SPOT, TOS, Heartland Services, State Tactical, Top Gun, SORTIE, Verified Response of Dallas and his fellow officers at Professional Patrol and Guard attended.
Sanchez leaves behind his wife, Bianca, and three children. Sanchez had worked in security for several years and loved doing his job. He was described as a loving bear of a guy who liked everyone. He died doing what he loved protecting his clients and his community.

Robber Kills Security Guard at Wingstop in Pleasant Grove
ON MAY 9 JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT SECURITY OFFICER ROBERT DALE ST. CLAIR of Merchants Industrial Security arrived at the Wing Stop location in the shopping center where he was assigned. It was part of his duties to walk the employees of Wing Stop to their vehicles at closing time.
St. Clair interrupted a robbery in progress and before he could react he was shot multiple times as was the manager of the Wing Stop and then the shooter fled.
St. Clair died at the scene. The manager is expected to recover.
St. Clair was 48 and an 18-year veteran of Merchants and had worked this same location for the past two years.
�Officer St. Clair was a dedicated, independent officer who went to work every day and did his job� said Allen Scott of Merchants Industrial Security, St. Clair�s employer.
St. Clair is survived by his father, mother and two brothers.
HIS MEMORIAL SERVICE WAS CONDUCTED MAY 14 and was attended by uniformed officers from the Dallas PD, Whitewright PD and from multiple security providers in the
metroplex.
