Professional organization genuinely concerned about security
clients
By Liana A. Marquis
President/CEO, Ameritex Guard
Services
After years of concern about the negative images of private security companies, Mrs. Liana A. Marquis, President/CEO of Ameritex Guard Services, realized there was a real need for a truly professional organization that was genuinely concerned with professional image and service to security clients she believed something had to be done. This is when Ameritex was born.
Founded in 1994, Ameritex provides complete security services to government, industrial, commercial and professional organizations throughout the continental United States. According to Marquis, the principal owners have more than 40 years combined security contract experience.
The mission of Ameritex is to operate a highly-professional contract security services enterprise that is respected in the marketplace, founded on sound financial principles, and utilizing skillful management ability and aggressive marketing techniques while recognizing its social responsibilities. This mission is accomplished daily by providing motivated, goal oriented, high-integrity security officers (armed and unarmed) an opportunity to authenticate their clients expectations and yet attain their own personal objectives.
Ameritex is a minority, woman-owned business, certified in the Small Business Administrations 8(a) program. Marquis said, Our company has been successfully performing security contracts for a wide variety of clients since its inception in 1994.
We are dedicated to the success of all of our clients, she said, with close corporate supervision on each individual contract.
Corporate management is immediately available to each client when and where necessary Ameritexs pledge is to exceed contract requirements. To prove her point, she readily points to Ameritexs past performance record, including the companys nomination as the 2006 Contractor of the Year by the Department of the Treasury - Internal Revenue Service, Austin, Texas.
Liana is supported by her husband, Robert E. Marquis, executive vice president and chief operating officer. He has a long history in the security industry, including security management of the U.S. Embassies in Paris, France, and Managua, Nicaragua. Bob met and married Liana while serving in the capacity of such management in charge of the U.S. Marine Security Guard Detachment in Managua, Nicaragua.
Ameritexs client list includes some of the most challenging government and private-sector long-term clients IRS; the Department of Energy; the U.S. Army; the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and many state and local government agencies as well as private-sector clients.
Marquis directs more than 400-plus armed and unarmed security officers and her employees perform service for more than 60 clients and perform all of their duty requirements above and beyond the scopes of work. She states, Ameritex has been successfully providing security and protection for scores of buildings, properties, client personnel and their customers.
Ameritex and Marquis continue to face the demands of the new security challenges for the 21st century with confidence and diligence.
