ASSIST connects with Texas Consulting Group
In conjunction with our ongoing efforts to monitor information concerning our profession as well as tell our story and be an effective influence and advocate for our profession, we are pleased to announce that we have retained the public relations and public affairs firm, Texas Consulting Group, to assist us in working more closely with the news media, elected officials, associations within our industry, law enforcement organizations, and business and trade associations representing our client bases.
Our key contacts with the Dallas-based firm will be Tina Peyton and John Weekly, both with considerable experience in everything from working with candidates and campaigns to public relations, public affairs, issues management, and business/association consulting and communications.
In addition to their focus on working with the media and various interest groups, they will also be working with our association on publications, our Web site, training, membership communications and retention, and programs for attracting new members.
As you have ideas or suggestions about possible news stories, articles youd like to see, or information you feel might be helpful to them, please feel free to contact ASSIST and well be glad to pass the word along.
Meanwhile, join us in welcoming them aboard.
