From Security Management Magazine

According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, insurance crime is the second most common form of fraud after tax evasion. Insurance crime most often takes the form of feigned bodily injury, auto repair fraud, and workers compensation fraud.

Two of the best methods for reducing workplace homicides are using bright exterior lighting and ensuring that employees dont work alone at night. That finding comes from research conducted at the University of North Carolina. The report appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The total number of crimes against the jewelry industry rose 21% from 2000 to 2001, while the number of attacks on traveling salesmen and couriers jumped 41% in the same period. In the southeastern United States, incidents against salesmen and couriers ballooned by 89%. The annual crime report was released by the Jewelers Security Alliance.
